This week has been a challenging week on many fronts but there has also been a lot of good!
Let’s give a shout out to the over 150 custodial and maintenance staff who worked around the clock to keep our buildings in top shape!They worked on frozen pipes, clearing parking lots and sidewalks, plowed snow and maintained the HVAC units.
Let’s give a shout out to the Principals and teachers from each building who worked to connect with each family ensuring safety and educational enrichment during this time. We had some fun this week! We loved seeing all the pictures of how families combined education with snow time fun.
Tomorrow, Friday February 19 will be a remote teaching and learning day. Let’s finish this week strong, with positive energy and take the time to say thank you and encouraging words to each other. This is what makes our community great!

REMOTE LEARNING - Devices Coming Home TODAY
There is a chance we'll have to pivot to remote learning next week due to bad weather. Remember, these will still be considered "school days" but the work will be done from home.
To prepare, students will be working today on reviewing how to login to their Google Classroom, Reflex math, Lexia, etc.
DEVICES WILL BE GOING HOME TODAY. If your child is absent today, you may want to call us and come pick up their device by the end of the day so they'll have it.
Teachers will be communicating the times they will be holding Zoom meetings with students. ((You will have two different Zoom times to choose from)).
If we should have to close, we'll post it on Facebook and make an automated phone call/text as normal.

ATTENTION PARENTS:
We had a very small fire in a restroom this morning. We followed our evacuation protocols that we practice every month. The entire building was completely evacuated (in less than 2 minutes!)for safety. The kids and staff did an AMAZING JOB of getting our kids to out to their safe place. Kids are back in the classroom and learning continues at Harp Elementary. GOOD JOB HAWKS!!
