Walker Families, Just a reminder that today is Early Out Wednesday! School will be dismissed at 1:50 PM, and this schedule will continue every Wednesday. All car riders must be picked up by 2:10 PM, or they should be enrolled in the After School Program. The cost for Wednesdays is $25 per day per child. Join the Walker ROAR After School Program! Location: Walker Elementary, with Walker Staff When: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday school days, after school until 5:30 PM, from September 3 to May 1. This program follows the Springdale School 2024-2025 calendar. Requirements: Parents must attend a meeting on Tuesday, August 27 at 5:00 PM. Students entering grades 1-5 are eligible, with good behavior and regular attendance required. Transportation: Bus services are available for students who ride bus 153 or 177. Car riders should be picked up promptly at 5:30 PM. Hello Walker Families, Our Wildcats had an amazing first day of school today! Just a reminder: all students will start their day in the cafeteria and will be offered a free breakfast. We hope every Wildcat will enjoy beginning the day with a delicious school breakfast. With both hot and cold options available, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Excited to see everyone at Back to School Night tonight! The Wooden Spoon and Shave the Planet will be in the front parking lot. They will have prepped meals and Snow Cones/ice cream for purchase. 15% will be donated back to the PTA as we prepare to purchase a new digital sign for the school, meals for teachers, class parties, etc! Hello from the Walker Elementary Kindergarten Team! We are excited to meet you and your child on Monday, July 29th, or Tuesday, July 30th, for Kindergarten Jump Start! You will drop your child off and be able to come into the school to tour the school at your scheduled time. Your child will then stay until the ending time listed on your slot. They will see what will happen when they come to school on their first day. When you come back to pick up your child, we will have you all practice the car rider line so you and your child will know what to expect on the first day of school.
